The Purpose

The purpose of this workshop is to help individuals think purposefully, speak up assertively, and act responsibly to be your best self, better your relationships, and achieve better outcomes. Be Your Own Advocate integrates an award-winning SELF-Ex guide to transform every adversity, vulnerability, and uncertainty into a learning opportunity. This workshop equips participants with life-changing tools, practical techniques, and healthy paradigms to strengthen one’s self-worth and motivation.

This workshop is a process from self-discovery to self-fulfillment as it teaches participants how to navigate real-world situations with practical tools that they can use for the rest of their life.

The Problem

During the pandemic, depression, anxiety, and mental health issues increased drastically by 30% in adolescents and adults. In fact, mental health issues effect every 1 out 3 adults. Individuals begin to lose confidence in their voice as they go through these situations of uncertainty, discomfort, aggression, and despair. When people do not speak up assertively, they run into several problems:

  • Increased mental health issues
  • Conflict in your relationships
  • Lower self-esteem
  • Identity crisis

Workshop Questions

Participants develop tools and techniques to empower oneself and discover a strong self-identity to confront adverse situations ranging from discomfort to misconduct. Do you know:

      • How to advocate for yourself?
      • What the root cause of mental health is, and how to overcome it?
      • How your beliefs are impacting your well-being?
      • How to build your own boundaries, and balance your priorities to achieve better outcomes and better relationships?
      • How to liberate yourself from other people’s expectations?
